The Pennsylvania Benjamins are led by one of the most experienced football minds in the International Arena League.
Head Coach Lee Johnson brings decades of professional playing and coaching experience spanning the NFL, CFL, and arena football, giving the Benjamins a leader with elite football knowledge and proven leadership.
Johnson first built his reputation at the University of Missouri, where he developed into a standout defensive lineman before advancing to the professional ranks.
He went on to play in the National Football League, including time with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 1990 season alongside legendary defenders Neil Smith and Derrick Thomas. Johnson later continued his career with the Washington Redskins, while also competing in the Canadian Football League and spending four seasons in arena football.
Following his playing career, Johnson transitioned into coaching, where he quickly established himself as a respected defensive strategist.
He has coached at multiple levels of professional football, including time with the Denver Broncos and in the CFL. Johnson also spent 17 years coaching in arena football, gaining deep experience in the fast-paced indoor game and helping develop numerous players and championship-caliber defenses.
As the leader of the Pennsylvania Benjamins, Johnson brings a powerful combination of professional pedigree, defensive expertise, and arena football experience, positioning the team as a competitive force within the International Arena League.
