Due to unforeseen arena and logistical challenges in Europe, the IAL has moved on from the Zurich territory for the 2026 season. Zurich players have been granted their release, and the league is working with athletes who wish to remain involved on possible reassignments.

European ticketing update Ticketmaster has been instructed to suspend sales for upcoming European-based games while the league adjusts scheduling, opponents, and start times. Full refund authorizations have been issued for affected European games. Fans should contact Ticketmaster directly for refund information.

The league cited extraordinary local market, arena infrastructure, and logistical challenges in Europe. The Zurich consolidation allows the IAL to focus resources on its remaining European teams while pursuing a stronger long-term operating model.
All players on the Zurich Ibexx roster have been granted their release. The league is working with athletes who wish to remain in the IAL to facilitate possible reassignments to other European teams.

The International Arena League is announcing a strategic realignment of its 2026 operations. While U.S. matches have been played without issue and fan turnout has been strong, the opening weeks in Europe faced unforeseen arena and logistical challenges. The league is taking immediate action to reset and refocus its international efforts.
With the removal of the Zurich Ibexx, the league is coordinating with core European markets, ticketing partners, and local arenas to make major scheduling and game operations adjustments. Ticketmaster sales for upcoming European-based games have been suspended while the league readjusts schedules, opponents, and start times. Full refund authorizations have been issued to Ticketmaster for affected games.
The league will bring all four European teams to America for a showcase series. These games will be the first European teams in history to play arena football on American soil and will be available globally on the official IAL YouTube channel.
