Jackie Mitchell brings elite leadership experience as both a professional athlete and sports executive to the Utah Great 8’s.

A former NFL and CFL player, Mitchell spent seven seasons in professional football with organizations including the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he earned CFL All-Star recognition.

Following his playing career, Mitchell transitioned into athlete development and sports leadership, founding Texas Prep Sports Academy, which helped more than 350 athletes earn college opportunities.

He also served as the founding athletic director for Community-Athletics, a national youth sports program spanning 27 campuses.

An accomplished entrepreneur and author of nine books on leadership and business development, Mitchell now oversees all aspects of the Great 8’s franchise including football operations, recruitment, partnerships, and international growth.

His vision is to position Great 8’s as a cornerstone franchise within the International Arena League’s European expansion.
