CINCINNATI, Ohio — International Arena League (IAL) — The Cincinnati Slingers have officially signed defensive lineman and long snapper Luke Desherow, adding size, versatility, and trench experience to the Slingers defensive front ahead of the upcoming IAL season.

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 250 pounds, Desherow brings a powerful presence to the defensive line and special teams units. The multi-program collegiate athlete competed at Grand Valley State University, Lindenwood University, and Roosevelt University during his college career, developing a reputation as a physical interior defender capable of disrupting opposing offenses.

Desherow’s experience across multiple programs helped refine both his technique and football IQ. Known for his size and leverage at the line of scrimmage, he has the ability to collapse the pocket while also contributing in specialized roles as a long snapper.

Slingers Head Coach said Desherow adds a valuable dimension to the team’s defensive rotation.

“Luke is a big body who can control space and play with power inside,” the coach said. “Players with his size and versatility are extremely valuable in arena football. He can affect the game on defense and contribute in multiple situations.”
