Talib Wise serves as Head Coach of the Zürich Ibexx, bringing a truly global perspective to the International Arena League. A former professional player and internationally respected coach, Wise has built his career across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, developing athletes and programs in multiple football systems.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Wise began his collegiate career at Joliet Junior College before transferring to the University of Nevada, where he continued to develop into a versatile offensive threat. Following college, he participated in preseason preparations with the Chicago Bears in 2005 before beginning a professional career in arena football.
Wise competed in the Arena Football League with organizations including the Arizona Rattlers, Chicago Rush, and New Orleans VooDoo. His versatility allowed him to contribute across multiple positions including running back, wide receiver, and defensive back.
His career later expanded internationally where he became a standout player in European football. Wise competed in the German Football League with the Dresden Monarchs and Berlin Adler, and later with the Swarco Raiders Tirol in Austria where he helped capture both a Eurobowl championship and an Austrian national title.
Following his playing career, Wise transitioned into coaching and quickly established himself as one of the most experienced international football coaches in the game. He has led programs across Europe and Asia, including guiding the Koç Rams to a Turkish championship and serving as head coach of the Spanish National American Football Team.
With championship experience, international knowledge of the game, and a deep commitment to player development, Wise now leads the Zürich Ibexx as the franchise begins its journey in the International Arena League.
