Brief info
Siaha Burley brings decades of professional football experience to the sidelines as Head Coach of the Utah Great 8’s. A former standout wide receiver in the Arena Football League (AFL), Burley built a reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic offensive playmakers before transitioning into a successful coaching career.
Burley began his collegiate career at Mesa Community College before transferring to the University of Central Florida. While at UCF, he led the team in receiving for two consecutive seasons and established himself as a dangerous threat on punt returns.
Professionally, Burley starred in the AFL with teams including the Orlando Predators, Arizona Rattlers, Utah Blaze, and Los Angeles Avengers. During his career he became one of the most productive receivers in arena football, earning multiple All-Arena honors and being named AFL Offensive Player of the Year twice. In 2007 with the Utah Blaze, he set league records with 166 receptions and 2,129 receiving yards in a single season.
Following his playing career, Burley transitioned into coaching where he served as an offensive coordinator for several arena football teams before becoming Head Coach of the Jacksonville Sharks, leading the organization to two championships. He has also coached with organizations including the Arizona Rattlers and Northern Arizona Wranglers. Most recently he helped lead the Arizona Rattlers to the 2025 IFL Championship as Assistant Head Coach.
Burley brings leadership, championship experience, and deep knowledge of the arena game as he leads the Utah Great 8’s.
