Phillip Garcia serves as Head Coach of the Glasgow Tartans, bringing more than a decade of international coaching experience to the organization.
Garcia has coached across Europe and Asia, developing programs known for disciplined play, strong fundamentals, and competitive preparation. His teams have consistently reached postseason competition while producing significant program growth.
Most recently Garcia served as Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator of the St. Pölten Invaders in Austria. During his tenure the team compiled a 9–2 record and captured the 2024 Silver Bowl Championship, the organization’s first title in fifteen years.
Garcia has previously held coaching roles including head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and recruiting coordinator with organizations such as the Amstetten Thunder, Odense Badgers, Brno Sígrs, Rostock Griffins, Kouvola Indians, Leipzig Lions, Győr Sharks, Carinthian Lions, Oldenburg Outlaws, and Inđija Indians.
As Head Coach of the Glasgow Tartans, Garcia oversees football operations including player development, game planning, recruiting, and staff leadership while working to establish the franchise as a strong competitor within the International Arena League.
