Lee Johnson brings decades of professional playing and coaching experience to the Pennsylvania Benjamins as Head Coach.
Johnson played collegiate football at the University of Missouri where he developed into a standout defensive lineman before advancing to the professional ranks. He went on to play in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 1990 season alongside standout defenders Neil Smith and Derrick Thomas and later with the Washington Redskins.
His professional career also included time in the Canadian Football League as well as four seasons of arena football, giving Johnson extensive experience across multiple levels of the game.
After retiring as a player, Johnson transitioned into coaching and built an extensive résumé. He has coached at multiple levels of professional football, including time with the Denver Broncos and coaching roles in the CFL.
Johnson has also spent 17 years coaching in arena football, developing a deep understanding of the fast-paced indoor game.
He now leads the Pennsylvania Benjamins with veteran leadership and decades of professional football experience.
