Jackie Mitchell serves as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Utah Great 8’s.

A native of Winston-Salem, Mitchell was a standout four-sport athlete before becoming a two-sport collegiate star at Southern University where he earned All-American honors in football and All-Conference recognition in basketball.

Mitchell went on to play seven seasons of professional football, signing with the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and later the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League where he earned CFL All-Star recognition.

Following his playing career Mitchell founded Texas Prep Sports Academy, helping more than 350 student-athletes earn college opportunities. He also served as Founding Athletic Director of Community-Athletics, a program that expanded to 27 campuses nationwide.

Mitchell is also a NIL Certified advisor, Certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, and author of nine books focused on leadership and business development.
