CINCINNATI, Ohio — International Arena League (IAL) — The Cincinnati Slingers have strengthened their defensive secondary with the signing of defensive back Kenneth Veal.

Veal stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 185 pounds and brings speed and coverage ability to the Slingers defense. He played collegiately at Toledo University, Grand Valley State University, and Thomas More College.

Veal has also gained professional experience with the Nashville Kats of Arena Football One (AF1), providing him valuable knowledge of the indoor football game.

Slingers Head Coach believes Veal’s experience will help the defense immediately.

“Kenneth understands the indoor game and brings great instincts in coverage,” the coach said. “Defensive backs are critical in arena football, and we’re excited to add a player with his experience.”

The team’s General Manager added that Veal’s professional background stood out during recruitment.

“Kenneth has already played at the professional arena level,” the GM said. “That experience is going to help our secondary tremendously.”

Veal said joining Cincinnati gives him another opportunity to compete at a high level.

“I’m excited to join the Slingers and get back on the field,” Veal said. “I’m ready to bring energy to this defense and help the team win.”
